Human Resources Manager (One Day Onsite/Week)

Northern Virginia/Hybrid

$125,000 – $175,000

Does your experience span the full spectrum of HR leadership from talent strategy and compliance to culture-building within a law firm? A Northern Virginia law firm is seeking a Human Resources Manager to step into a high-impact leadership role. This professional will shape the firm’s people strategy and serve as a trusted advisor to leadership on everything from organizational structure to risk and compliance.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as the internal strategist, providing actionable insights on internal talent and growth, organizational structure, and cultural initiatives.
  • Lead full-cycle recruitment efforts, including screening, interviewing, and partnering with leadership to secure top talent.
  • Evaluate and enhance training and development initiatives to support employee growth and firm needs.
  • Guide the firm’s approach to compliance and policy, with influence on employment-related decisions and documentation standards.
  • Provide guidance on employee relations matters, including SOPs, conflict resolution, coaching, and performance improvement.
  • Maintain employee records and ensure accurate documentation across HR systems.
  • Assist with compensation and benefits administration, responding to employee inquiries and ensuring consistency and accuracy. Audit and research market changes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Supervise HR staff with professionalism and encourage a positive work environment.
  • Oversee HR operations, including systems integration, reporting, and policy development, using data to inform decision-making.
  • Partner with leadership and staff to support day-to-day HR needs and broader firm goals.

  • Knowledgeable. You understand HR best practices, compliance, and employment regulations.
  • Systems-adept. You are comfortable utilizing HR systems and learn new systems quickly.

The salary listed reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, location, business considerations, and internal equity. Final offer amounts are determined at the employer’s discretion.
