A private foundation in Washington, D.C. is seeking an eager and enthusiastic personal assistant to provide high-end executive support to its founding Principal. As the Personal Assistant to this Principal, you will serve as a trusted partner, providing seamless support across personal, household, travel, and health matters. This role requires exceptional flexibility, discretion, and emotional intelligence, with the ability to anticipate needs, pivot at a moment’s notice, and deliver personalized, white-glove service. Operating as a key team member with the principal, colleagues, and vendors, you will be a crucial resource and point of contact, fostering strong relationships and ensuring seamless coordination across all aspects of daily life.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive personal and logistical support to ensure the smooth management of daily personal priorities.
- Coordinate schedules, meetings, appointments, communications, and travel included detailed itineraries, adapting plans and logistics as needs change.
- Support health and well-being by managing appointments and related care and logistics.
- Oversee household operations, including vendor and contractor management, expense tracking, invoicing, purchasing, household inventory, and overall maintenance of both personal and office space.
- Manage personal errands, shopping, gifts, mail, pet care, clothing care, and other day-to-day personal responsibilities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to provide event support, assisting with space preparation, and day of logistics.
- Ensure an organized, efficient, and well-supported environment that enables the principal to focus on work, relationships, and overall well-being.

- Career personal assistant. You have at least two years of prior personal assistant experience supporting a high-level principal and strong understanding and appreciation for the flexibility and adaptability the role requires.
- Versatile and forward-thinking. Regardless of formal job responsibilities, you are eager to jump in and assist anytime and anywhere, anticipating needs and actively addressing them to ensure daily life runs seamlessly.
- Calm, cool, collected. You take a mature approach to work and operate well in an ambiguous environment, ready to tackle the ebbs and flows of every day with care and consideration.
- Go bag ready. You are ready to hit the ground running whether this be for running errands locally to traveling domestically and internationally. While having a car is not required, currently holding a valid driver’s license is highly preferred.
The salary listed reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, location, business considerations, and internal equity. Final offer amounts are determined at the employer’s discretion.
