She takes pride in understanding their goals and providing personalized guidance and support throughout their job search.

Prior to joining Hawthorne Lane, Layla began her recruiting career with an agency specializing in placing recent graduates. There, she developed her recruiting expertise while helping candidates identify opportunities aligned with their skills, experience, and career goals.

Originally from Boston, Layla moved to the DC area in 2021 to attend the University of Maryland, where she graduated in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in communications and a concentration in public relations. Her studies allowed her to develop her strengths in communication, writing, and creative thinking.
