As Co-Founder of Hawthorne Lane, Andrea Solomon brings more than two decades of experience in recruiting, business development, and leadership to her work. Since co-founding Hawthorne Lane in 2014 with Karen Mills, Andrea has remained deeply committed to building a firm where exceptional service, strong relationships, and principled decision-making are at the heart of every placement.

After earning her bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism management from Virginia Tech, Andrea began her recruiting career with Staffing Solutions in Richmond, VA, where she focused on placing administrative talent with corporations and law firms. She returned to the Washington, DC, area and joined TRAK Legal, a global recruiting firm specializing in legal and administrative support. During her 15 years with the firm, Andrea rose to Executive Director, overseeing recruiting and business development for its DC office.

In 2014, Andrea channeled that experience into launching Hawthorne Lane with a clear vision: to create a recruiting firm defined by the highest ethical standards, a distinctive culture, and a genuine commitment to its candidates and clients. Today, she continues to pursue that vision every day, bringing a thoughtful, relationship-driven approach to recruiting and a belief that the quality of every match is the true measure of success.
