Montgomery County, MD/Hybrid

Salary Flexible – Depends on Experience

This law firm is seeking a Trusts and Estates Paralegal to grow a busy practice group. The ideal candidate has a fine eye and attention to detail, professionalism while communicating with clients and attorneys, and excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills. The Trusts and Estates Paralegal will be hands-on with attorney support across all facets and processes internally and externally facing. About the Job:

  • Organize, schedule and attend client meetings and appointments.
  • Quickly respond to inbound inquiries, requests, and follow-up meeting materials with internal and   external contacts.
  • Prepare estate tax returns, financial spreadsheets, and probate forms as needed.
  • Coordinate administration of trusts and estates and the transfer of assets into trusts.
  • Assist with asset valuations, organizing assets, and preparing property deeds and similar documents.
  • Maintain estate bank accounts and files.
  • Communicate effectively with busy attorney practice group on deadline shifts, client needs and external party liaison efforts.

About the You:

  • Experienced. You have at least three years of experience in trusts, estates, tax, and/or finance practice groups. Previous knowledge of fiduciary income tax principles is a plus.
  • Detail oriented. You have an appreciation for quality work and always meet deadlines.
  • Organized. You work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and can be trusted to stay on top of your projects.
  • Service oriented. You always put the client first and deliver top service.
  • Highly communicable. You are skilled at keeping open lines of communication as an active liaison between attorneys and clients.
  • Tech-savvy. You are proficient operating across Microsoft products, research portals and client databases.
