Temporary Membership Coordinator (Long-term Assignment)

Washington, DC/Hybrid

$25 – $29/hour

Are you detail-driven, relationship-focused, and excited by the energy of large-scale events? Do you thrive in roles that blend organization, communication, and customer service? As a Membership Coordinator with a leading organization, you will play a pivotal role in supporting membership engagement, streamlining communication, and ensuring seamless delivery of member benefits across high-profile industry events. This role is ideal for an emerging events or sales professional with at least two years of customer service experience to further refine their skills in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support membership initiatives by coordinating outreach, tracking commitments, and maintaining organized records to keep projects on schedule, including registration details.
  • Acts as the primary liaison for membership communication, managing deliverables, timelines, and satisfaction.
  • Coordinates major conferences and programs, providing clear communication to large communities.
  • Supports sales operations by tracking activity, maintaining accurate data, and generating reports for leadership.
  • Collaborate across teams to ensure accurate membership visibility across event websites, signage, and digital communications.
  • Assist with marketing materials, ensuring partners receive up-to-date information and deliverables.
  • Provide on-site event support, helping manage events and ensuring a high-quality experience for members.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Service experienced. You bring at least two years of relevant experience, with an emphasis on customer service or membership support.
  • Systematic. You handle multiple moving parts with ease, making sure every detail aligns and nothing falls through the cracks.
  • Communicative. You have exceptional written and verbal communication skills and enjoy working directly with external contacts.
  • Tech-savvy. You’re comfortable navigating Microsoft Office and online event or sales platforms, and you learn new systems quickly.
  • Team-oriented. You take initiative, support cross-functional projects, and contribute positively to team goals and outcomes.
