Temporary Healthcare Content Specialist (Four-Month Opportunity)

Washington, D.C./Remote

$35 – $42/Hour

This is a rare temporary opportunity for a sharp, strategic content professional to make significant impacts at the intersection of law and health care. This law firm is seeking a temporary Healthcare Content Specialist to serve as the driving force behind translating complex legal and regulatory developments into engaging narratives for a knowledgeable audience. Working closely with attorneys and the BD team, you will help shape the healthcare practice’s presence, amplify its voice, and deepen its connection with key stakeholders across the industry. If you are a motivated, detail-driven writer and project manager who thrives in a collaborative, intellectually stimulating environment, this role is an exceptional opportunity.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Produce accurate and compelling content including articles with fine attention to market trends, regulatory shifts, and emerging issues across the legal and health care sectors.
  • Translate intricate legislative, regulatory, and industry developments into clear, audience-ready content that informs and engages across varying levels of expertise.
  • Compose, edit and finalize materials with ultra professionalism and brand voice, ensuring clarity, consistency, and alignment with overall messaging goals.
  • Draft and manage internal communication channels, keeping internal contacts informed of relevant updates.
  • Spearhead content and firm initiatives, coordinating timelines, gathering stakeholder input, and shepherding deliverables from concept through publication.
  • Collaborate cross-departmentally to align content strategy with marketing and growth objectives.
  • Manage website content, pitch materials, and marketing collateral to ensure accuracy and relevance.
  • Uphold brand standards across all marketing materials, delivering polished, error-free content that reflects the firm’s credibility and authority.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Opportunity to gain valuable experience in a legal setting.
  • Collaborative and professional work environment.
  • This is a remote, temporary opportunity seeking a four-month commitment.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced content professional. You bring five or more years of experience in content development, professional writing, or journalism, ideally with exposure to the health care or legal sectors. A bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, English or journalism is required.
  • Exceptional writer and editor. You can translate dense material into clear, compelling narratives without losing nuance or accuracy. Your editorial instincts are sharp, and your proofreading is meticulous.
  • Organized project manager. You are comfortable owning multiple workstreams simultaneously, keeping timelines on track and stakeholders aligned from kickoff through final delivery.
  • Analytically minded. You approach complex data, legislation, and case developments with intellectual curiosity and the ability to synthesize what matters most for your audience.
  • Tech-comfortable. You navigate content management systems, digital marketing platforms, and legal tracking tools with ease, and you embrace technology as a means to work smarter.

The salary listed reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, location, business considerations, and internal equity. Final offer amounts are determined at the employer’s discretion.
