Temporary Business Development Specialist (Six-month Opportunity)

Washington, D.C./Hybrid

$25 – $33/hour

As the Temporary Business Development Specialist at this law firm, you will support strategic business development and marketing initiatives for a busy practice. The firm is seeking a detail-oriented individual with a strong work ethic, experience in scheduling and administrative support, excellent writing and editing skills, and prior exposure to a professional services or law firm environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide meeting scheduling and coordination support, communicating with busy internal key players and legal staff using a high-level of professionalism.
  • Actively listen during meetings, take concise notes, and follow up on action items.
  • Assist with project support for various business development plans for firm.
  • Assist in preparing pitch materials and written proposals.
  • Update and maintain collateral materials as well as the firm’s website.
  • Attend trade shows as needed and assist with the planning and registration of these events.
  • Administrative tasks as needed, including data management and input, research, webinar and online materials and more.
  • Communicate with various internal contacts, such as legal staff, on BD initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experienced. You have your Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of marketing or business development in a law firm or professional services firm.
  • Quality performer. You consistently produce high-quality work in a busy environment.
  • Communicative. You have strong written and verbal communication skills and pay close attention to details.
  • Enthusiastic. You have a great attitude, are highly self-motivated, and have an understanding of marketing principles.
  • Computer savvy. You are an expert with Microsoft Office products and have a wide knowledge of databases and PC programs.
