Personal Assistant to Founder

Washington, D.C./Northern, VA/Hybrid

$90,000 – $120,000

The Founder of a fast-paced DC lobbying firm is seeking a proactive Personal Assistant who thrives in a high-energy environment. This is the ideal role for a professional who prefers variety and movement over the predictability of a traditional office setting. In this position, you will serve as the organizational backbone for a busy Founder. You will leverage your administrative expertise and strong interpersonal skills to manage a fluid schedule, ensuring both the Founder’s professional commitments and personal logistics remain seamless and on track. This role is seeking a proactive, polished professional who is highly flexible and service-oriented and looking for an opportunity to work in a high-volume, dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide scheduling and calendar management by booking appointments/meetings, coordinating travel logistics and itineraries, and managing household-related tasks to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Execute personal errands throughout the DMV area with a customer service mindset.
  • Assist with drafting professional communications and correspondence on behalf of the Founder, ensuring prompt replies to all incoming requests.
  • Organize and maintain all personal and professional contacts, ensuring contacts’ information is accurately recorded, sorted, and easily accessible.
  • Track all expenses and produce expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Handle special requests as needed.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Dedicated Assistant. You have at least five (5) years of experience as a Personal Assistant or in a similar administrative/customer service role. Candidates with prior experience on Capitol Hill or in National Security are encouraged to apply!
  • Discreet. You handle sensitive and personal matters with the highest level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Orderly. You thrive in keeping schedules, priorities, and household needs running smoothly.
  • Proactive. You anticipate needs before they arise and take the initiative to solve problems efficiently.
  • On the go. You have access to a car and are ready and flexible to commute all around the D.C. area.
