As the Legal Executive Assistant to this high-profile team, you will support client development initiatives and project-based tasks in the DC office of a large international law firm. As an extension of the Executive team, you will play an important part in client-facing activities that enhance the team’s effectiveness and exceed client expectations. In addition to assisting with exciting legal work and helping attorneys finalize critical documents, you will also be called on to coordinate meetings and events. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced legal secretary that would like to provide support to a busy team.
About the Job:
- Strengthen the attorney/client relationship by keeping clients informed of case status and responding to client questions in an effective and timely manner.
- Prepare documents for upcoming meetings, update the team on approaching deadlines, and follow-through with appropriate documentation for casework management.
- Coordinate schedules for the team, including point-to-point travel arrangements.
- Prepare and process expense reports and receipts.
- Support special projects delegated by attorneys, in addition to planning client events.
- Monitor and direct incoming phone and email correspondence and as well outbound needed attorney communication.

- Experience. The ideal candidate has 5-10 years of previous experience working in a law office.
- Writing and editing-whiz. You can clearly express ideas in your writing and spot grammatical errors in documents. Strong writing and editing skills are essential.
- Detailed. You know how critical quality work is to a legal case. Organization and an eye for detail are key.
- Flexible. You are open to new challenges as your position grows and develops based on the needs of the team.
- Articulate. It’s essential that you possess strong written and verbal communication skills.
