Salary Flexible – Depends on Experience

This law firm is seeking a Legal Assistant to assist the civil litigation law practice group. As the Legal Assistant, you will organize calendars seamlessly, provide administrative functions such as scanning, proofreading, drafting memos and legal documents, and communicate with clients directly to assist the attorney team in legal processes. About the Job:

  • Organize busy schedules for attorneys with direct client communication and external contacts regarding meetings, appointments, court proceedings and any ad hoc additional events.
  • Provide administrative support such as paper and electronic file organization, court preparation materials, receiving and delivering time-sensitive mail and packages, and organizing notes and memos.
  • Compose, edit and proofread legal documents, memos and letters.
  • Work closely with attorneys to provide varied support across multiple projects. Familiarize yourself with current cases and anticipate next steps.
  • Monitor deadlines, client updates and requests to assure the attorneys are privy to changes or urgent shifts.

About You:

  • Experienced. You possess at least three years of experience supporting a busy attorney team as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal; litigation, corporate or family law practice group experience is desired.
  • Accommodating. You adjust your work style to fit the needs of busy attorneys.
  • Detailed. You know how critical quality work is to a legal case.
  • Service oriented. You always put the client first and deliver top service to your attorney team.
  • Organized mastermind. You have a proven track record of excellent time management skills and excel at administrative tasks.
