As the Legal Practice Assistant at this growing law firm in DC, you will play a vital role in supporting attorneys across a variety of fast-paced and high-profile practice areas. This firm is looking for a proactive and experienced legal support professional to help establish and shape the day-to-day workflow. In this dynamic role, you will not only work closely with attorneys and paralegals to manage casework and court filings, but also serve as a key point of contact at the front desk, ensuring a seamless client experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive legal administrative support to attorneys, including editing, formatting, and e-filing pleadings and court documents.
- Maintain case files, update calendars, and track deadlines across multiple matters and practice areas.
- Assist with trial preparation, document management, and coordination of case-related projects.
- Serve as the face of the office, including greeting guests, answering phones, and managing deliveries.
- Collaborate with internal teams and maintain a professional standard of client-facing communication.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of filings in both Federal and State courts.

What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced. You have at least 3+ years of experience in a legal administrative role at a law firm, ideally with exposure to multiple practice areas.
- Organized. You’re a self-starter who can manage competing priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
- Detail-Oriented. You take pride in your accuracy and thoroughness, especially when it comes to document preparation and court filings.
- Tech-Savvy. You’re comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, and PDF editors. Experience with iManage, PowerPoint, and e-filing systems is a plus.
- Client-Focused. You’re professional, polished, and comfortable interacting with attorneys, clients, and visitors alike.
- Flexible. You’re willing to support front desk operations as needed and assist wherever you’re most needed to keep the office running smoothly.
