Legal Administrative Assistant

Washington, D.C./Hybrid

$80,000 – $85,000

As the Legal Administrative Assistant with this prestigious law firm headquartered in Washington, DC, you will be exposed to a variety of interesting cases while supporting a team of attorneys. The team needs to be able to trust this candidate to manage important projects with many competing deadlines. From observing well-known litigators in action to managing client/attorney relationships, each day at this law firm will be different. Your prior legal experience and solid tenure will be valued at a firm that is collaborative, engaging, and a place where you can stay for the long term.

 

About the Job:

  • Work closely with various attorneys across several practice areas to support specific projects.
  • Familiarize yourself with current cases and anticipate next steps when preparing for deadlines.
  • Draft, prepare, proofread, and edit legal documents, reports, memoranda, and correspondence.
  • Coordinate complex travel arrangements and corresponding itineraries.
  • Manage calendars and schedule meetings, events, and conferences.
  • Enter billable hours and process monthly client invoices.

  • Skilled. You have at least five or more years of prior legal administrative experience working in large law firms. Prior litigation experience preferred.

  • Service-oriented. You always put the client first and deliver top service.
  • Professional. You demonstrate solid business communication skills in both verbal and written forms.
