In-House Corporate Governance Paralegal

Virginia/Remote

$70,000 – $100,000

The legal department of a large global corporation is seeking an experienced Corporate Governance Paralegal to join its busy team. In this role, you will be responsible for liaising with their board of directors, maintaining corporate information regarding their subsidiaries, and spearheading special projects. The ideal candidate is someone who has previous corporate paralegal experience, is highly proficient in Microsoft Office, and has excellent time management skills.

 

About the Job:

  • ·Coordinate annual compliance and governance processes for the company’s global entities.
  • Prepare regulatory filings, monitor compliance issues, and respond to regulatory requests.
  • Provide support for board meetings and prepare and maintain related documents.
  • Assist with the implementation of a new office-wide entity management system.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and new regulations and educate management on new legal requirements and corporate best practices.
  • Draft entity governance documents, correspondence, and meeting agendas.

About You:

  • Experienced. You have a four-year degree and a minimum of ten (10) or more years of experience in a corporate paralegal role. Previous experience working with a board of directors and senior management are a must.
  • Detail-oriented. You are someone who can juggle multiple tasks at once and work well under pressure.
  • Communicative. You have outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Motivated. You are a self-starter and can work independently. You are accountable for meeting deadlines.
  • Tech-savvy. You are an expert at using MS Office, Adobe Pro, and SharePoint.
