A prominent Washington, D.C. firm is seeking knowledgeable, dedicated, and driven candidates for multiple Government Relations Assistant openings supporting their growing practice. In this role, you will support a busy team through administrative tasks such as calendaring, travel booking, and client billing, while also assisting with drafting, proofreading, and finalizing client-related correspondence. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the government relations team, manage incoming phone calls, coordinate calendars, book travel arrangements, prepare meeting materials, and assist with monthly client billing.
- Assist with policy and regulatory research, monitoring congressional hearings and staying up to date on current legislative issues relevant to client work.
- Draft internal communication, positional statements, advocacy materials, memos, and policy reports relating to client matters.
- Conduct and summarize research findings, translating complex information into understandable material, and assist with proofreading final documentation.
- Collaborate with colleagues to execute internal projects and ensure proper coverage for all current and upcoming assignments.

What We’re Looking For:
- Educated and interested in policy. You currently hold a bachelor’s degree and a minimum of one (1) or more years of previous experience in government affairs, policy analysis, or on Capitol Hill.
- Go-to tech person. You have strong technical skills and can seamlessly operate across a wide range of platforms including Windows 10, Microsoft Office Suite, Chrome River, Open Text DM, EMS Web App, and InterAction.
- Eager to work. You are seeking a fast-paced, high-volume work environment to put your skills into action! Being proactive, organized, and multitasking multiple projects and timelines will be essential to success in this role.

The salary listed reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, location, business considerations, and internal equity. Final offer amounts are determined at the employer’s discretion.
