Government Relations and Policy Specialist

Washington, D.C./Hybrid

$75,000 – $85,000

A well-established DC firm is seeking an experienced government relations and policy professional to support their busy team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting research, drafting memos, and assisting the team as they develop innovative solutions for their diverse clients. The hire for this role has strong writing skills, knowledge of federal policymaking and regulatory processes, and at least two or more years of relevant experience. About the Job:

  • Assist with policy and regulatory research and analyzing proposed legislation.
  • Draft internal communication, positional statements, and policy reports relating to client matters.
  • Act as a representative of the team at in-person events such as hearings, conferences, and various meetings.
  • Compile research in a wide variety of areas, including environmental, manufacturing, trade, and financial issues.

  • Experienced. The ideal candidate is degreed and has at least two (2) or more years of previous experience in government affairs and policy analysis.

  • Eloquent. You are fluent in business and policy writing skills and possess very strong written and verbal communication abilities.
