A friendly and established law firm in Washington, DC is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join a dynamic and growing litigation team. In this high-impact role, you will assist attorneys with complex, substantive matters while contributing to a collaborative and supportive office culture. From coordinating discovery to preparing for trial and performing expert-level cite checking, your work will help drive successful outcomes for the firm’s clients. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage large litigation matters from inception through resolution, ensuring accuracy, adherence to deadlines, and compliance with firm standards.
- Perform expert-level cite-checking and thorough proofreading of briefs, motions, and other legal documents, applying advanced knowledge of The Bluebook.
- Coordinate discovery, maintain databases, and assist with depositions and trial preparations.
- Assemble document productions and exhibits using firm technology, ensuring materials are organized, accurate, and accessible for the team.
- Conduct legal research using online programs and library resources to support case strategy.
- Communicate efficiently with attorneys, paralegals, clients, and external vendors to ensure smooth workflow.

What We’re Looking For:
- Litigation knowledgeable. You have at least five (5) or more years of paralegal experience and a bachelor’s degree. Due to the substantive nature of the work, non-practicing law school graduates are encouraged to apply!
- Proofreading pro. You have a keen eye for grammar and editing. No typo or misprint goes unnoticed.
- Software-savvy. You are technologically fluent and can navigate the various applications of Microsoft Office Suite, Lexis-Nexis, Westlaw, PACER, Adobe Acrobat Pro, CompuLaw, and Best Authority easily.
- Team Oriented. You are friendly, easy to work with, and thrive in a collaborative office culture.
- Unflappable. You are calm under pressure and operate well in a deadline-driven environment.
