A friendly and reputable Washington, DC law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Legal Secretary to provide support to its busy partners. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring day-to-day office operations run smoothly by offering administrative support and delivering high-quality, professional customer service to clients and visitors. If you are a highly organized, driven individual with a team-player mindset, this could be the role for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate logistics for meetings, including scheduling and reserving spaces.
- Maintain attorneys’ calendars with an eye on deadlines and important appointments.
- Draft legal correspondence, edit pleadings, and prepare legal documents.
- Organize and prioritize incoming mail and phone calls, ensuring they reach the proper contacts efficiently.
- Maintain an organized system for all new, current, and old client files.
- Record attorney time in the billing system and assist with preparing and reviewing bills, check requests, and expense reimbursements

What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced. You possess five (5) or more years of law firm experience in a legal support role. Litigation experience preferred.
- Technology skilled. You can navigate all applications of the Microsoft Office Suite with accuracy and efficiency.
- Highly organized. You take pride in your ability to prioritize numerous tasks and have no issues meeting deadlines.
- Team-oriented. You excel as a member of a team and are happy to provide support wherever needed.
- Dedicated. You give your all to your employer and take pride in going above and beyond for your attorneys.
