Executive Assistant to Startup Principal

Washington, DC

$90,000 – $110,000

As the Executive Assistant to this startup Principal, you will play an integral role in administrative support while keeping daily operations running smoothly. You’ll serve as a trusted partner across various business initiatives, anticipating needs before they arise and ensuring nothing falls through the cracks. This is a fast-paced role in a dynamic, entrepreneurial environment where adaptability, tech-savviness, and discretion are key.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-level Executive Assistant support and strategically maintain a busy calendar, manage travel arrangements, and liaise on behalf of the executive.
  • Prepare, draft, and edit presentations, documents, correspondence, and meeting materials, ensuring all parties have information in advance of meetings.
  • Organize and execute small- and large-scale projects, ensuring all deliverables are met and timelines adjusted as needed.
  • Triage and prioritize calls, emails, and incoming requests with discretion and efficiency.
  • Support office operations while collaborating across a small, but growing team.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • This role requires candidates who are flexible to meet last-minute deadlines in an exciting startup environment.
  • A front-row seat; you’ll work closely with a Principal who values precision, trust, and proactive support.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Startup EA experience. You have supported an executive in a startup or ultra-fast-paced industry for around 4-6 years and you are used to changing gears quickly when needed.
  • Quick-witted. You keep up at a fast-pace and have a sharp method of attacking new projects and initiatives.
  • Determined. You are serious about administrative support and can move fluidly between tasks and projects.
  • Strategic. You are mindful and deliberate in your decisions and have a great use of judgement to manage complex scheduling issues and a busy itinerary.
  • Professional. You possess absolute discretion in handling highly confidential information.
