Washington, DC/Hybrid

$100,000 – $110,000

An early-stage finance firm is seeking an Executive Assistant to support its Founder during a pivotal period of growth. This opportunity is for a career Executive Assistant who thrives in close partnership and takes pride in creating structure, protecting time, and enabling impact at the highest level. The firm is small, collaborative, and values judgment, discretion, and positive energy. The Executive Assistant will play a central role in ensuring seamless day-to-day execution for the Founder while helping establish rhythms and systems that support the firm’s continued evolution. This role goes far beyond traditional administrative support. The ideal candidate is energized by responsibility, brings calm to complexity, and sees executive partnership as both a craft and a career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage highly dynamic calendars and complex domestic and international travel across clients, board members, portfolio leaders, and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as a trusted gatekeeper, thoughtfully prioritizing requests and protecting time with sound judgment and clear communication.
  • Manage and triage a high-volume inbox; draft correspondence and respond on the executive’s behalf with polish, discretion, and executive presence.
  • Coordinate meetings and firm events, ensuring thoughtful preparation, logistics, and follow-through.
  • Anticipate needs and proactively build systems that support focus, efficiency, and long-term scale.
  • Provide light personal support that enables the Founder to operate effectively, such as coordinating family logistics, travel planning, reservations, and time-sensitive personal requests.
  • Support additional team members as needed, maintaining a flexible, team-oriented mindset.
  • Assist with special projects, research, and operational initiatives as the firm grows and matures.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • Opportunity to partner closely with a founder who values trust, longevity, and thoughtful delegation.
  • Flexible work model; this role offers a hybrid structure but requires flexibility for the firm, such as occasional travel throughout the year.
  • Competitive compensation with bonus potential, comprehensive medical benefits, 401(k), and generous PTO.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Master of executive partnership. You bring around five years of experience supporting a senior leader or C-level executive in a fast-moving, high-stakes environment.
  • Inbox & calendar maestro. You manage complex schedules and high-volume correspondence with precision and poise. You are ultra responsive to internal and external contacts.
  • Trusted navigator. You handle sensitive information and make thoughtful, confident decisions without prompting.
  • Go-to problem solver. You stay calm under pressure, pivot gracefully, and anticipate needs before they arise.
  • Tech-savvy trailblazer. You leverage modern tools to streamline workflows and stay ahead of evolving priorities.
  • Long-Term growth partner. You see executive support as a craft and career, eager to grow alongside a founder and a scaling firm.
