Billing Assistant

As the Billing Assistant at one of DC’s premier litigation law firms, you will be responsible for supporting daily accounting functions, assisting attorneys with the client billing process, and establishing effective procedures. If you are a detail-driven, process oriented professional, with previous billing experience, familiarity with Aderant software, and are ready for your next career step, this could be the place for you!
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist the billing team with tracking time, expenses, and bill processes.
- Prepare monthly reports detailing accurate accounts and financial records for clients.
- Regularly enter and edit time entries for attorneys.
- Prepare client invoices and promptly resolve any billing conflicts.
- Organize and maintain client billing records.
- Work with attorneys to draft, edit, and submit legal bills.

What We’re Looking For:
- Billing experienced. You have at least one (1) or more years of previous law firm billing experience. Degree preferred.
- Tech-savvy. You are well versed in MS Office and have experience using Aderant.
- Professional. You have a strong understanding of business etiquette, along with outstanding writing and editing skills.
- Dynamic. You can juggle a variety of demanding responsibilities throughout the day and understand how to prioritize these demands.
- Detailed. You pay attention to all details, big and small.
