BD Specialist

Washington, DC/Hybrid

$75,000 – $85,000

This respected law firm is seeking a BD Specialist to support growth and visibility initiatives for a fast-paced litigation-focused practice. In this role, you will collaborate closely with attorneys and internal teams to advance business development priorities, manage key initiatives, and help strengthen the firm’s competitive presence. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys balancing strategy with execution, thrives in a deadline-driven environment, and brings a thoughtful, proactive approach to supporting professional services teams.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the execution of business development and cross-practice initiatives, managing timelines, deliverables, and follow-up.
  • Research market trends, industry activity, and relevant matters, translating findings into concise, actionable takeaways.
  • Update and organize experience details used across proposals and marketing efforts.
  • Coordinate awards, and other outreach-building opportunities, including tracking deadlines and assisting with content development.
  • Assist with pitch and proposal preparation by gathering relevant experience, drafting content, and coordinating internal approvals.
  • Develop and update digital and print marketing materials, event communications, and email campaigns, overseeing production and distribution as needed.
  • Monitor and coordinate event opportunities and support attorney participation aligned with practice goals.
  • Assist with the planning and execution of firm-sponsored events, including on-site support and post-event follow-up.
  • Provide general project and administrative support related to business development initiatives as needed.

  • Technical confidence. You’re proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable navigating databases and marketing systems.
  • Adaptable mindset. You’re open to supporting events and initiatives that may involve occasional travel or extended hours.
