Administrative/Front Desk Assistant (Temporary-to-Hire Opportunity)

Be the welcoming first point of contact for a respected Washington, DC association. As the temporary-to-hire Administrative/Front Desk Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering a professional and positive experience for clients, visitors, and staff while keeping day-to-day operations running smoothly. This position combines traditional front desk duties with hands-on support for meetings, events, and association leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and assist clients and visitors, ensuring a seamless and professional arrival experience.
- Answer and route calls, manage shared inboxes, and serve as a central resource for internal and external communications.
- Maintain communal areas, ensuring spaces are organized, well-stocked, and presentable at all times.
- Manage conference room schedules and support meeting logistics, including setup and AV coordination.
- Provide assistance with event coordination and general office needs.
- Support leadership with a variety of administrative tasks, including document preparation, scheduling, expense reporting, and file management.
- Assist with special projects, including data management, research, and internal deliverables.
- Coordinate with vendors and building management to ensure efficient office operations.
