As Chief Operations Officer, you will oversee finance, compliance, technology, risk management, and internal operations while building the systems and teams that support the organization’s mission and long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with executive leadership to translate organizational goals into operational strategy.
- Oversee finance, legal, compliance, technology, security, and risk management functions.
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, resource planning, and financial reporting to support organizational sustainability.
- Strengthen internal systems, processes, policies, and technology to improve efficiency and scalability.
- Manage and develop operational leaders while fostering collaboration across departments.
- Ensure strong governance, compliance, and risk management practices.
- Partner with cross-functional leaders to align operational priorities with organizational goals.
- Drive process improvements and thoughtful technology adoption to increase efficiency.
- Manage key external partnerships, vendors, and advisors.
- Balance day-to-day operational leadership with long-term strategic planning.

What We’re Looking For:
- Executive leadership experience overseeing operations within a nonprofit, social impact, professional services, or similarly complex organization.
- Experience supporting both 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) organizations.
- Strong financial and operational leadership experience, including management of budgets of at least $50 million.
- Demonstrated success building scalable systems, improving processes, and leading organizations through growth.
- Ability to align people, processes, and priorities across multiple functions.
- Sound judgment, strong leadership, and a collaborative approach to decision-making.
