Temporary Administrative Assistant (Two-Month Opportunity)

Washington, D.C./Hybrid

$27 – $32/Hour

This is a fantastic part-time temporary opportunity to support a mission-driven nonprofit team. As the Temporary Part-time Administrative Assistant, you’ll help keep day-to-day operations running smoothly by coordinating schedules, organizing meetings, preparing materials, and providing reliable administrative support to a busy team. If you’re organized, eager to learn, and excited by meaningful work, this temporary opportunity offers excellent exposure to nonprofit leadership while building valuable executive support experience.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate across calendars by scheduling meetings, managing appointments, and helping resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Monitor incoming communications, respond to routine requests, and route inquiries to the appropriate team members.
  • Arrange travel, prepare expense reports, and assist with other administrative tasks that keep daily operations running efficiently.
  • Draft, proofread, and format correspondence, meeting materials, presentations, and other documents.
  • Help prepare for meetings by organizing agendas, gathering materials, taking notes, and tracking follow-up items.
  • Maintain organized electronic files, records, and contact information while handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Assist with donor meetings, organizational events, and special projects by coordinating logistics and supporting planning efforts.
  • Partner with colleagues across departments to provide administrative support wherever needed.

  • Tech-comfortable. You are proficient in Microsoft Office and enjoy learning new systems and tools.

 

The salary listed reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, location, business considerations, and internal equity. Final offer amounts are determined at the employer’s discretion.
