Executive Assistant to Principals

Washington, D.C.

$80,000 – $95,000

As the Executive Assistant for this Washington, DC-based association, you will serve as the operational backbone of a dynamic team, supporting leadership, driving project coordination, and keeping a high-functioning team running with precision and polish. This association is seeking a proactive, detail-oriented professional who excels at anticipating needs, managing competing priorities, and delivering seamless support across a range of administrative functions. Key Responsibilities:

  • Anticipate and manage the schedules of leadership, coordinating calendars, preparing daily briefings, and ensuring seamless coverage planning across the team.
  • Own administrative support by keeping cross-functional projects moving, deadlines visible, and outputs on track from kickoff to delivery.
  • Prepare and organize all meeting materials in advance, including agendas, documents, and meeting materials; monitor and follow-through on action items.
  • Coordinate travel logistics, including bookings, itineraries, and on-the-ground support; manage expense reporting and invoice processing for department leadership.
  • Maintain and update the database, spreadsheets, and contact records with accuracy and consistency.
  • Elevate the team’s written work by contributing to briefing documents, press summaries, and internal memos, with a careful editorial eye ensuring every deliverable is polished before it goes out the door.
  • Bridge the gap between departments, collaborating cross-functionally to ensure project efficiencies, budget-tracking, and department missions remain accurate.
  • Step up during high-visibility moments, including reoccurring association-wide meetings, and lend a hand on research initiatives and special projects that advance broader goals.

The salary listed reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, location, business considerations, and internal equity. Final offer amounts are determined at the employer’s discretion.
