Executive Coordinator – Government Relations

Washington, D.C./Hybrid

$85,000 – $100,000

Are you an experienced and deadline-driven administrative professional with an interest in politics? As the Executive Coordinator with this D.C. based lobbying practice, you will be providing high-level administrative and operational support to senior leaders within the Government Relations team. You will operate as a key point of contact, managing dynamic calendars, communications, travel, meetings, and financial administration while regularly interfacing with internal and external stakeholders. Success in this role requires exceptional organizational skills, sound judgment, discretion, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary contact for section leadership, providing high-level administrative support to senior leaders of the firm’s government relations group.
  • Manage complex executive calendars and communications, coordinate travel, meetings, and event logistics.
  • Ensure executive preparedness by creating detailed itineraries, reports, presentations, and other meeting materials.
  • Handle correspondence, emails, and calls, prioritizing, responding, and escalating as appropriate.
  • Prepare expense reports and invoice reimbursements using Cosine software, assist with preparing client invoices and monitoring account status.
  • Collaborate across departments to improve operations, supervising and supporting professional staff.
  • Provide administrative support for PAC activities and assist with special projects and ad hoc requests.
  • Support employee onboarding and staff development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Executive support experienced. You are degreed and have a minimum of five (5) or more years of previous relevant administrative experience. Prior professional experience in a law firm or fast-paced corporate environment is highly preferred!
  • Software superstar. You have strong computer and software skills and can operate across a range of platforms, including Microsoft Office Suite, Cosine, and other various online billing and expense systems.
  • Dedicated to details & deadlines. You have an expert eye when it comes to the details, managing multiple projects, deadlines, and shifts in priorities simultaneously and also seamlessly.
  • Team focused. You enjoy working collaboratively and proactively with others to deliver top-tier results for the firm and their clients.

 

The salary listed reflects the anticipated compensation range for this position. Actual compensation will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, location, business considerations, and internal equity. Final offer amounts are determined at the employer’s discretion.
