E-Billing Specialist

Washington, DC/Hybrid

$80,000 – $90,000

A respected DC law firm is looking for a tech-savvy and detail-oriented E-Billing Specialist to join their collaborative team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact for all things related to electronic billing — supporting attorneys, ensuring accurate invoice submissions, troubleshooting vendor platforms, and helping the firm stay in compliance with evolving billing guidelines. If you are experienced with e-billing systems and thrive in a fast-paced legal environment, this could be a great match.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage electronic invoices from submission through resolution across multiple client platforms.
  • Communicate regularly with attorneys and legal staff to resolve billing issues or rejections.
  • Maintain and update e-billing systems with budgets, timekeeper information, and vendor site changes.
  • Assist in onboarding new clients to e-billing systems and work with internal teams to ensure successful integrations.
  • Monitor aging receivables and partner with collections to keep outstanding invoices on track.
  • Support accounting leadership with billing-related projects and process improvements.

Why You’ll Love Working Here:

  • You’ll be part of a collegial and high-functioning team in a firm that values precision and innovation.
  • Hybrid work flexibility allows for work/life balance with two days remote per week.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits, including healthcare, dental, and vision coverage, and a 401(k) match.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Billing experience. You bring five or more years of legal e-billing experience and are confident navigating billing platforms.
  • Detail-driven. You catch discrepancies others miss and pride yourself on producing error-free work.
  • Communicative. You’re able to translate complex billing issues clearly and collaborate with colleagues across teams.
  • Tech-savvy. You’re comfortable with Microsoft Excel and open to learning new platforms and tools.
  • Proactive. You don’t wait to be told what’s broken — you seek out ways to improve processes and prevent issues before they arise.
